Superintendent's Update: 7/27/21

Reported by 204-enews@ipsd.org on 7/27/21

Dear Indian Prairie Community,

Today the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) published new recommendations that everyone in K-12 schools wear masks regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status. I share this information with you to let you know that we are aware of this new statement from the CDC and the latest information from the DuPage County Health Department and the Illinois Department of Public Health. As I mentioned at the board of education meeting last Monday, we will continue to monitor our community data (e.g., positivity rate, cases per 100,000, etc.) as well as examine the recommendations from the CDC, in order to revise our fall opening plans. At this point in time, we have not made any changes to our fall plans. However, we will provide an update at the August 9 board of education meeting that reflects the most current information.

Sincerely,

Adrian B. Talley, Ed.D.
Superintendent
